Extended Day
HNS’ Extended Day program begins at 1:00 pm and offers children a welcoming end to the day, blending rest, discovery, and play. Children will start with a calm rest and recharge period before engaging in hands-on discovery time through rotating themes such as cooking, science, art, theater, and more. They’ll enjoy an afternoon snack and end their day with plenty of gross motor time outdoors to move their bodies, take in fresh air, and continue building friendships.

Designed with flexibility in mind, families can choose a 3:00 pm pick-up or a 4:30 pm pick-up and enroll for the entire school year, by month, or select specific days that work best for your schedule.

Our Extended Day Program runs Monday through Friday from September 1 through June 9. Families who pre-register and include Extended Day dates in their contract receive a discounted rate. Drop-in options are also available for added flexibility.

HNS Extended Day Enrollment
HNS follows Lexington Public Schools’ calendar and will be closed on these dates to observe major holidays, vacation weeks, and HNS professional development days: 9/1, 9/7, 9/21, 10/12, 11/11, 11/26-27, 12/24-1/1, 1/18, 2/15-19, 3/10, 3/19, 4/19-23, 5/31.
Registration must be submitted through our website’s online registration system. Click on the button below to get started. You will need to log in to your user account to access the form and select the options best suited to your family’s schedule. If you are enrolling more than one child, you will need to complete the form for each one.
An email will be sent confirming your child’s enrollment, and tuition will be invoiced at the beginning of each month. HNS offers the following tuition discounts: 10% Sibling discount (applied to lesser tuition) and 20% Military discount. Military discount requires primary caregiver to be in active or retired service. NOTE: Only one discount may be applied.
For families needing extra flexibility, we also offer a Drop-in option. This convenient choice offers families coverage and care when space is available. To ensure availability, drop-in requests must be made via email to office@hancocknurseryschool.com or in person prior to attendance.
Cancellation
To cancel a confirmed student enrollment, HNS must receive written notice of cancellation two weeks prior to the start of the program month. Refunds are not given for missed days.
